3 topnotchers and 140 newly licensed doctors lead the University of the Philippines College of Medicine Batch 2018 in the recently concluded Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) last Sept. 8-9 and Oct. 27-28, 2018.

The three topnotchers are: Dr. Ma. Sergia Fatima Papuona Sucaldito (Top 4, 90.42%), Dr. Ron Michael Labador Castillo (Top 5, 90.08%), and Dr. Marie Abigail Rivera Lim (Top 10, 89.58%).

UP College of Medicine has also been recognized as the Third Top Performing School, garnering a passing rate of 98.59%.

“Congratulations to everyone that passed. We’ve reached another milestone in our long journey to become medical professionals. As we walk down our own separate paths, I can only hope we never forget the reason we started this – for our patients and for our nation,” said Dr. Charles Herrera, the batch president.

Meanwhile, Dr. Sucaldito shared some words of inspiration: “Success is built with all the little efforts we put in behind closed doors. When trying to excel, the most important thing is discipline.”
