Last October 26, 2018, the Medicine Student Council (MSC) 42 capped off Mental Health Week by distributing free Cadbury chocolate and Tang juice pouches to the students.
The giveaway was the finale in a series of events for Mental Health Week, which included Dogs MD, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and Tuesday Conference on mental health among others. The week-long project was spearheaded by Philippe Mamaril and Aira Kue (Class 2023) of the Health and Service Committee of the MSC.
Alluding to the UPCM vision of a five-star physician, the Cadbury chocolates were of the “5 Star” variant. Tang pouches signified “Tang-galin ang stress at pagod!” Stickers with inspirational messages were also distributed along with the goodies.

While distributions took place mainly at the lobby of Calderon Hall, students from all learning units were able to receive the goodies as members of the council also went around the Philippine General Hospital to distribute goodies to the ICCs, clerks, and interns.

The event was done in partnership with Cadbury Philippines and Tang Philippines, with mental health week partners Costa Coffee Robinsons Place Manila, MentalHealthPH, Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity, Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity, and SPU Manila Music Therapy.
