The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity and Sorority hosted Mu Rock — the first and only Rockeoke Party in the UP College of Medicine — for the members of Class 2023 to destress from another grueling week in med school last August 24, 2018.

The freshmen, along with members of the Fraternity and Sorority, rocked the night away at their self-established concert grounds in the Las Palmas Hotel de Manila. The Mu Band kicked off the night with their opening performance followed by hit after hit sung by the members of Class 2023. There was food, free-flowing drinks, great music, and awesome company. Gift certificates from McDonald’s and EGG Exciting Gifts + Goodies were given away, as well as a special raffle was for the much coveted Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology.

There were also special performances by the College’s former Associate Dean for Planning and Development Dr. Armand Crisostomo, ΜΕΦ ‘81, along with a rocking duet from Dr. Joie Cañal, μΕΦ ‘95 and Dr. Randy Cañal, ΜΕΦ ‘92. Class 2023 was also treated to a jaw-dropping beatbox performance by Picoy Cruz, ΜΕΦ ‘15 – co-founder of Beatbox Philippines.

To cap off the night,  everyone sang their hearts out, jammed to the fullest, and definitely had a blast.
